AMAZING STAY! Hope to visit again

This property looked just like the listing and still exceeded expectations. The view was beautiful, amazing pool, fun to grill out and hop in the river. The accessibility of their kayaks was such a fun bonus. We had a blast at our little staycation! Hope to stay here again.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend.

The pictures do not do justice to the house. It is much prettier and clean than shows in the pictures. It is well stocked and with great views. The completely fenced yard is perfect for dogs. Great for a family and pets!

Amazing!

Keyless entry was easy, the property was well maintained, the pool was exceptional, the interior of the home was decorated well and extremely comfortable. It was everything we were looking for peace, quiet and tranquil.

Fantastic house!

The house is just as depicted, if not better. 5 of us on a girls trip, and there was plenty of room for us all. Spacious, clean, and comfy. We spent a lot of time in the pool - the outdoor area is fabulous. Would definitely stay again when back in the area.

Great getaway

Had a great time at this mostly wonderful property. There were a few cleanliness concerns as we discovered chip crumbs and hair on the floor. The propane tanks were also empty, which we understand if not the property's responsibility, but we didn't feel like messing with it, so we weren't able to enjoy the fire pit. Other than that, everything else was really great. The views were amazing, and it was very quiet and peaceful. Would stay again!

Great little house

Perfect little house with great location right on Lake Dunlap. Fully stocked kitchen, kayaks for the lake, wonderful deck for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Had a fantastic 5 days here. Close to New Braunfels and all the cool things it has to offer. Managed by a third party, but this one was actually responsive and easy to contact. Very impressed with them.

Great house on the Guadalupe

Loved the kayak lift (didn’t use them bc the Lake still hasn’t filled up) and the covered area where we sat with our coffee every morning. We also enjoyed the pool with the multiple areas to sit around the pool. The kitchen was large and had a view of the back yard. We will definitely stay here again

The Perfect Hill Country Get-Away!

This home on Lake Dunlap was perfect for our weekend getaway with friends. The house had everything we needed as a group of 6 and more. Having lake access was great and the water is much higher than the pictures currently show (April 2024). The home was located in a quiet neighborhood close to restaurants and grocery stores. Check in and check out were easy. Our only complaint was that of the 3 propane tanks available, every single one was empty upon arrival. The property manager noted that they did not guarantee the tanks would be full so we were aware this could be an issue but it would have been ideal to not have to fill them ourselves. All in all we'd definitely stay here again!

Epic Family Time

The pool had to been cooled down by its own ac because it was staying fresh in the hottest of times. It was near having the kayaks around to venture the lake which seemed to be pretty busy with families having fun and waving as they passed. We took our toddler on top of the boat deck and he absolutely loved seeing all the lake goers. Was only a 10 min drive from schlitterbahn and 8 mins from town to get any food or goods needed. The entire house immediately made us all feel at home, we were sad to leave but will for sure be back next summer!

The house was very clean and well stocked. Do bring all your seasonings and salt and pepper. We enjoyed the pool even though it was warm water. We only used the master bedroom and the bed was so comfortable. We both slept like babies. The mattress has a topper on it that we both appreciated very much. The NB Escapes company is amazing and responsive. This place will be amazing when the River comes back up.

Great getaway

We decided to stay here and try the fresh water advantage instead of heading down to the coast like we normally do. The house was very nice and spacious. Overall, it was clean! The only problem was that there were spiderwebs all over the patio, outdoor furniture and inside the kayaks. I did a sweep the morning after we arrived and got rid of most webs but they were back the next day. Some probably easily be treated by a pest control company but not a deal breaker. The kids really enjoyed have breakfast every morning on the deck above the boat slip. Property is put together well other than that. I would definitely use again or recommend if you’re not bothered by the outdoor insects.

Could be five star!

This is a very nice and generally clean house in a lovely setting. With the pool and waterfront, this is a wonderful family retreat! With a few tweeks, this is a 5-star rental. However, at this time, for a pricier property, it’s about 3 stars. 2 key issues: First, our guests included a disabled veteran. We let them have the master BR, which appears to be very nice. We checked out the guest rooms and the beds were so-so to bad. The bad bed has a 4” topper and my wife needed help getting in. Then, we found the bed made a loud crunching sound every time we moved. The other bed was a normal height but it too crunched. We woke up every time either of us shifted around. The second issue is distressed furniture. The guest bathroom vanity is an “antique” chest with a sink in it. That’s okay but the top of the chest is down to absorbent bare wood and a swipe with a towel comes up…. well…. not pretty. The dining table has been sandblasted and the cracked surface catches lots of…. um… stuff. You better believe the managers when they tell you to bring toilet paper, coffee pods, salt and pepper, flour, paper towels, dishwasher pods, soap – basically anything that would be consumed. We’ve rented many houses over the years and this one is the most stripped down. There were some minor things: No grill brush or BBQ tongs - a plugged guest bathroom sink - a dead bulb (no light) in the laundry. These can be over-looked by a cleaning crew but we had to deal with them.
