1. AC didn’t work. Asked for batteries for the thermostat as soon as we got there, it took them almost 4 hours to get them. All the while it was 84 degrees. The manager showed my husband how to flip the breaker in case the power went out because she said that was why the AC want working. I asked if we could get a window unit or another cabin, they sent us a portable AC unit but not until the next day. On the second day the coolest it got was 77 degrees in the living room only, the room were hot. Finally the morning we checked out it was cool but as soon as the sun came up it was back up to 79 degrees.
2. Spiders in pool, the kind that walk on water, and pool water was hot. When I told the manager there were spiders she was like no, I showed her the 10 dead spiders I had killed so my kids could swim because they were hot!
3. Shower tiny, even for a cabin it was tiny, if you are over 6 foot forget it.
4. The kitchen faucet didn’t work right, the outlet in the kitchen didn’t work, my ice chest kept my drinks colder than the fridge.
5. The cabin felt like it was going to fall off the blocks and made us feel like we were on a boat. There was a giant screw sticking out of the bunk bed, and the curtain fell every time the kids touched it.
6. The manager said we were the Guinea pig for this cabin and kept saying we had too many people for the cabin to cool down, I couldn’t cook at all because it would just make it hotter which meant spending more money.
The excuse I got from the owner was, I just bought this place. Bottom line I would not recommend this place or stay here again.
