“You simply cannot fault this property. From the moment you drive up its winding drive and enter the main living area, the wow factor just kicks in! The views, peacefulness and facilities are out of this world. Rooms are spotless & your host Lou can’t be more helpful or do enough for you. Breakfast is exquisite made from produce on the retreat. We wouldn’t hesitate to return if back this way and nobody would ever leave this place disappointed. If you do, there must be something wrong with……

“French Country House is a rare find. We absolutely loved everything about it. Romantic, charming rural setting with stunning views of the coast and Mount Manganui. The ambience is wonderful. You feel like you are living in your own little French chateau surrounded by stunning decor. It’s définitely a million miles away from a standard corporate hotel. A unique and beautiful gem of a place. The family who run it are delightful people and made us very welcome. We went as part of a multi city……

“Friendly hosts, Margaret and Rob, cooked up a great breakfast both mornings of our stay and provided good ideas for local dining and sightseeing. The lovely pristine little suite features a very comfortable bed, a small sitting area with very rural views (cows and sheep very close by). The only downside to this rental is its distance from amenities tho there is nice hiking in nearby Otanewainuku Park.”

“Lovely central location, closer than we expected to the town which was fantastic! Well thought out items available on site. Accommodating hosts and although we had a flight to catch the later check out than other places is a fantastic touch! Thoroughly enjoyed the space as a base while we explored the Mount.”

“Great communication, and everything as described. Only downside was not that clean. Rooms and pool need a deep clean. Shane was a great host, and the property is amazing. The rooms were cool in very hot weather, with comfortable beds. ”
