Walking into the Gonzo gives you the impression this place is going to be a unique place to stay. From the immaculate landscaping to the quirky art and decor in the lobby and cafe, you think you’re in for a treat with your room… but the rooms are actually as cold and lifeless as any big box hotel chain with just as passable cleanliness and crappier room amenities to choose from, including a predatory $5 tampon or dollar store pad for the poor girls unprepared for unfortunate timing at the Gonzo. Plus, there was an odd bug infestation during our night there, so those little guys were all over the room and our things by the time we left.
Beyond those gripes…
The Gonzo is in an excellent location in downtown Moab. Tucked off away from the main road, and easily walkable to all the great dining and shopping options.
PS. Watch out for that metal headboard. Ow!
