"Had a parking lot on site. Check in was easy and they provided two meal tickets for some frozen dinners. The dinners were quite nice. The room was decently spacious and did not feel like a shipping container at all. Nice and quiet area with lots of dining options in the area."

The location is pretty good, walkable from the station even with heavy roller bags. The property itself is very run down, but that is reflected in the price. If you are fine with chain restaurants there are plenty of places to eat. But, if you are a foreigner (even if fluent in Japanese) you will likely have a bit of trouble eating at many of the local spots as they will refuse...

"The onsens were really great. Awesome breakfast, worth the extra cost. Moderate twin family room has 2 beds , 1.5 twin size. Not small as a twin, but not big as a double bed. Manga room massage chairs and free use space room were all great touches . The Lawson and bus stop across the street were super handy. 10 minute walk to Mito Station . Perfect for a stay in Mito! Will return! "

"I'm surprised this was rated so highly on Expedia. The staff was excellent and tried their best with us not being able to speak Japanese. Cleaning staff were very good and replaced the sheets/towels every day on time. However, the hallways, elevator, and rooms were in unacceptable condition. Most of the carpets just need to be replaced in the hallways. The elevator just needs to be cleaned. The room's utilities work, but everything is yellowed from smoke and decay. There were burn holes in the curtains and the whole room smelled of smoke. I checked other hallways with some being worse and some better. "
