The property is secure, and guests are provided with a key fob to access both the building entrance and the elevator. CCTV cameras are in operation throughout the property, which adds an extra sense of security. The location is excellent, right in the CBD and within walking distance of the Sky Tower, bus and train stations, shopping areas, restaurants, and nightlife. The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Please note that you may hear some street noise at night, so if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this may not be the best place for you. Guests should bring their own toiletries, including a towel and slippers. The shared kitchen is well-equipped with useful appliances, and there are token-operated washing machines and dryers available. If you plan to spend most of your day exploring the city and simply need a comfortable place to sleep at night, this property offers good value for money. One suggestion for improvement would be to upgrade the rooms and bedding. Modernising these facilities would enhance the overall guest experience, and I believe guests would be willing to pay a little more for the added comfort.

During our stay, we left two unopened bulk bags of gift snacks (worth around NZ$60) on the bed when we checked out on Saturday. The next day, we returned to ask about them and were told that housekeeping had simply thrown them away as food waste, without first calling or emailing us. In every other hotel we've stayed at across New Zealand, staff have always contacted us when items were left behind. This was the first time something was just discarded without notice. Since then, we have contacted the front desk every single day. On both Monday and Tuesday, the on-shift manager assured us she would look into it and follow up by email with a resolution. It is now Friday, and despite multiple calls and a formal follow-up email, we have heard absolutely nothing — not even an acknowledgement that the issue is being looked into. So mind your belongings during the stay if you have to, no one is going to help you if any issues happen!!!
