"The cottage is a treasure and the island is beautiful. Wonderful views of herons and other wildlife always outside the back windows! Our family of six (including four teenage boys) stayed comfortably at the house. It felt like borrowing a friend's well-stocked vacation home. Plenty of kitchen gear and dishes for cooking (which we used several nights). Things to consider: to access the Gloucester Point area, you must cross a draw bridge. It is a cool bridge to cross, but every time you go into Gloucester, you must pay a 2 toll. Also, you can be delayed if a ship is crossing. We had to wait 15-20 minutes one morning on our way to Williamsburg. Also, the property is well-decorated and cozy, but not brand new, and has a few quirks. We had some small ants in the kitchen, but the hosts had some bait traps out. Overall, I would highly recommend this unique stay if you are coming to the area!"

"If you are a "Lover " of peace having quiet time to reflect and dismantle stress; this is the place. Where you can see the sun rise, watch the white tail rabbit that visits, hear the water and sleep in a secured environment. This is the place.My sister and I celebrated my birthday there. We wanted a place that we could fish and crab. The house is clean and well-kept with all the amenities you would need. The town is small; one grocery store (IGA) but a lot of mom-and pop shops of variety. There is a bait store there as well.Yes, we caught some fish and a few crabs. Most were too small to keep but that was not important. To close, the owner who I communicated by phone was very pleasant and accommodating. We asked for an earlier arrival and he made efforts to accommodate us. However, we understood if this was not feasible. It was his attitude of making us feel welcome.Yes, without any reservation we plan to come back next year. If you want ro relax and take in God's beauty Without disruptions; This is the PLACE! "
