Excellent place but the AC on the 4th floor wasn't working or something, we couldn't sleep because it felt like the AC was stuck in the heating setting, someone came to "fix" but it didn't.

Flor at the front desk was very helpful. Hotel was clean - beds were comfortable. While not in the greatest location, it was a good overnight stay prior to flying home. Breakfast was remarkably good - would consider staying again.

We like the fact that the location was very good, you could walk in the shopping and restaurant areas and access the beach easily also the pool area was nice although it lacked some refreshment facilities, the breakfast was nice, and it was very clean

Excellent location. Room lovely. Shower head lacked torque. One fellow at front desk sent husband to ice machine on another floor that did not work. Another person at front desk at another time filled ice bucket from behind front desk so it was readily available. Toilet had some issues. Good stay overall

Very friendly and helpful staff. Short walk to 5th Avenue, where all the pedestrian action is. The beach is a pleasant 10 minute walk, tops. Lovely sunrise viewed on the roof top pool area.

I stayed here two years ago and had a slightly better experience. Staff is always friendly and helpful. My only issue this time is constantly receiving stained towels and washcloths. Even if they’re clean, just throw them away if they’re stained. I don’t feel comfortable using dingy linens. Other than that, I felt safe, the area is walkable, about a block or two for Quinta Avenida and a few blocks from the beach. Perfect location.

Unless you need a decent gym space for a night, I suggest a Mexican hotel. We have stayed all over the Yucatan over many visits. This hotel is a bit tired and very institutional feeling. The pool area looked nice. The weight room was small with a bike, an elliptical, 2 treadmills, and free weights. The aerobic machine seemed to all be in working order (this is a huge plus in Mexico). The fitness center did not open until 8:00--which makes it difficult to have breakfast afterwards. The parking garage was a narrow downslope off of the street directly behind the hotel. There are a couple of restaurants open very late on the street if necessary. They AC was incredibly loud.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express was great. The front desk staff were awesome, especially Fernando. Thank you for helping make my stay at your hotel even better. Rooftop pool was great. Breakfast was very good, although it’s the exact same thing everyday. And the breakfast staff were great also. AC in the room was great. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I’ve ever had in a hotel. The shower and water pressure were great. And you must walk 2 minutes west to eat at El Fogón as it’s delicious and affordable. Don’t be tempted by Jarritos and Cazuelas across the street. Food wasn’t very good and, while I always tip servers, they added a tip to my bill which is not allowed in Mexico. I wish i had gone to el fogón again. And There’s a Mega grocery store nearby too. Oh and you’re just a 3 minute walk from 5th Ave and less than 10 minutes to the beach. Book this place!

We like that there was a tour desk at the hotel. Cesar Cuba was excellent and booked us an amazing tour! He also gave us great recommendations on where to eat and the Choco-Story Museum.

wasn't to please upon check in... we came a little early , they wouldn't check us in until 3pm. so we came back at 3pm and the room still wasn't ready. we was so tired from a long flight. finally they gave us a room that was so far away It was bad for my wife to walk to. she had bad knees but we made it. Food was ok not great.

Very nice spacious room, comfortable bed, staff are very friendly. Breakfast is basic but very nice for Holiday Inn - also includes some local specialties. The only inconvenience was very noisy AC, which when it was quiet in the room in the night was a little bit disturbing at times. I would stay at this property again because it was very close to all the activities I wanted to pursue.
