Gorgeous 3 bed/ 2 bath home in the heart of Sellwood! Walk to everything!
Welcome to our beautiful 1920's home located in the heart of historic Sellwood/Moreland.
Sellwood Oasis (as we like to call our home) is warm and inviting, boasting lovingly restored period detail and ample room for 6 guests. On the main floor you'll find a living room, dining room, and fully stocked kitchen, plus two bedrooms with comfortable queen mattresses; a full bathroom sits between the main floor bedrooms. A master suite, including king bed, full bathroom, and it's own TV area, is located on the upper level, while the finished basement includes a laundry area, TV room, and large desk/workspace. Our back yard is an oasis in the middle of the city, complete with a giant sequoia. We have outdoor seating on the covered back deck and a table on the patio to enjoy al fresco dining in the summer months.
Our property is surrounded by restaurants, shopping, antique stores, and great parks. You can walk across the street and get a hamburger voted #4 best burger in the nation, grab your favorite drink at the coffeeshop right next door, or walk down the block to one of Portland's coolest bars. We are centrally located in Portland, approximately a mile from Reed college, 3.5 miles from downtown, 2 miles to SE Division St., and 2.5 miles to SE Hawthorne Blvd. The airport is about 25 minutes by car, or you can take the Max light rail located just down the road. Bus service is one block away, and electric bikes and scooters are available throughout the neighborhood, making it a breeze to get around.
People that have stayed in our home have enjoyed the beauty of our home, comfortable beds, and the location.
Please note that we reside in a separate accessary dwelling unit (ADU) at the back of the property, so you may see us coming and going in the driveway and/or back yard. However, we travel frequently and may or may not be on site during your stay.

The house is in a great part of town, super walkable to so much and a short drive to other great neighborhoods that Portland has to offer. The house itself was also nice and comfortable. The hosts were so easy to communicate with and really helpful. Highly recommend!
Location was perfect with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, groceries, etc. Home was exactly as listed. I reached out with one small question and had resolution within 5 minutes. It was perfect for our family!
What a lovely property! This bungalow has been meticulously maintained. I also own an old home, and I know how challenging this can be. The home is cozy and inviting with the bonus of a great basement and a well appointed bedroom/living space on second floor. What a wonderful surprise to discover a beautiful front yard garden and a lovely deck at the back of the house. I spent much of my time on both. The location is ideal with many restaurants just steps from the house. I’ve already booked a return visit next month!
This was an enjoyable stay. The property was comfortable, clean, well appointed both quality and cleanliness of appliances, cookware, bed linens and towels. The neighborhood was walkable with restaurants and coffee shops. Sellwood neighborhood shops were a 15 minute walk. We were a group of siblings visiting our sister who lived close by. Despite the rain we were able to visit and enjoy the neighborhood shops.
Worth every bit of 5 stars.
1) I try not to stay in vacation rentals managed by 3rd parties like iTrip, Vacasa, Evolve etc.. Because they are unresponsive in comparison to those managed direct by owners.
2) It's in Sellwood. Need I say anything more.
3) The house is wonderful. Woodwork, decorations etc. high end. Plenty of room. Beds comfortable. Best kitchen I've had in terms of cookware and supplies. Note, there is a 2nd smart TV in the upstairs master bedroom in the sitting area. I will say there are 2 sets of stairs in house and both have narrow treads. However, I've been in many Portland homes that have basements and 2 floors and they are all built the same way.
4) It is adjacent to a Fetch coffee shop/ bakery, a Starbucks and PDX sliders within the same block. Very convenient yet still a very quiet private street. And all the places you want go in Portland are an easy 15 minutes away.
5) Stewart and Josie are as big part of why I would go back. They live in a ADU on the property but you would not know they were there unless you need them. Everything worked in the house so I did not need them but got advice on hiking trails etc.. Excellent hosts.

The house is clean, and very conveniently located close to dining, coffee shops, and other Sellwood neighborhood staples. Stuart and Josie were just the right amount of communicative before, during, and after our stay. Check-in and check-out were easy, and our kids loved the basement with some board games and other activities after breakfast. We hope to stay here again on a return trip in the future.
Fantastic stay! Extremely clean home, luxury bedding, fully stocked kitchen, and childrens toys. Location can't be beat. We were extremely happy with the kitchen appliances/dishes etc everything we needed was there and high quality unlike other short term rentals. We would definitely recommend.
Lovely, perfectly clean and the spaces are as pictured. Beautiful baths and high quality sheets and towels. We enjoyed the neighborhood shopping and dining, including coffee right next door. Lovely property close to all the delightful neighborhood has to offer! Beds and bedding were heavenly along with the thick towels. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything from soup to nuts (almost literally!) Delightful front yard with an amazing back porch for gathering even if it is rainy! We would stay again in a heartbeat!
