The Karoline: Old World Charm In A 2 Bedroom 2 Bath Beauty By The Charles Bridge

This newly renovated, fully-equipped 2-bed and 2-bath apartment with a living room able to be converted into a bedroom on the 1st floor(2nd floor US) of a historical neo-gothic building just around the corner from the Charles Bridge is for up to 8 guests, and at the same time caters to a smaller, more demanding group or family that wants to have Old World style but in a modern, functioning flat. There are three connecting rooms: the master bedroom with king-size bed(180 cm wide), the living room/sitting room with fireplace(bio-ethynol means real flames but no smoke), cable TV, and a large pull-out sofa, and then the large bedroom with two king-size beds. These rooms all have their own entry/exit doors, so privacy is not a problem. The large master bathroom has a tub/shower, toilet, his and her vanity sinks, and a washer and dryer concealed behind a decorative side panel. The second smaller bath if also fully equipped, with a small sink, shower, and toilet, and both have heated floors. Complementary WiFi works throughout the flat. The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for making large meals, or even just for a coffee and small breakfast in the morning. Iron and ironing board, all towels and washcloths, and extra bedding are of course provided. Smoking is not permitted in the flat, but we have a small balcony which is perfect for that.
We think that you will appreciate the level of detail that Mark & Mirka put into the flat, from the choice of linens for the beds and selection of furnishings (we have two art nouveau chairs in the kitchen) to the extensive restoration of the ceiling décor and the matching chandeliers. We have really focused on trying to preserve and enhance as many elements from the original construction as possible.

Great stay in Prague!

We loved this well-stocked and beautifully decorated apartment in Prague. I could not think of anything that it's missing. 2 bedrooms (1 with two double beds!) and 2 bathrooms were great incluing a true primary bedroom. We would happily return to stay here again.

In the center of it all!

Wonderful stay for a tourist family of older teens. The property was comfortable, cute, immaculate and well provisioned. Communication with Mark and Galina was quick, efficient and thorough. They provided information and access to airport transportation and some delicious starter snacks. Great, very safe location walkable to key tourist destinations and a variety of cafes and markets. A bit noisy with partiers at night, but that didn’t bother us much. I’d definitely stay here again. Book now!

Fabulous stay in Old town Prague

Could not have asked for a better location. A roomie and well appointed 2-suite flat, well stocked (starter beer, wine, fresh bread, milk, ham, cheese…) and very comfortable. Within Walking distance from most everything. Mark was very responsive to questions and reached out to make sure we were doing well. The second bathroom is small, but there is a large mirror and table to be used as a vanity that provides what you need.

We loved our stay in this beautifully decorated Prague apartment. It was conveniently located and was an easy walk to many attractions. Beautiful Apartment in Great Location

This apartment is lovely, spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. It is very easy to walk or take a short tram ride anywhere you’ll want to visit in Prague. And Mark was so welcoming! He let us drop luggage early and leave it late. He checked in on us via messaging to see if we needed anything. And he had food and drink stocked to get us started on our stay. It was a perfect apartment for us and I recommend it to anyone!

Great location!

We had a wonderful stay in The Karoline! Communication with the owner was excellent, and the check in process was seamless. The owner coordinated transport to & from the airport at a very reasonable price. And, we were welcomed with a fridge that had a few beers, wine, juice and some snacks! The location was perfect! Easy walk to the Charles Bridge area and also a super easy walk to Old Town area. We walked to Marina Ristorante one evening and had a wonderful dinner. We also enjoyed dinners at Gruzie & KCRMA, and we loved Las Adelitas for Mexican food. We rented a private boat one afternoon on the Vltava River and did a private walking tour the I booked through withlocals.com - it was a wonderful 5 days in Prague, and the Karoline was the perfect home base!

Excellent across the board

The location was very close (walkable) to many of the city sights. The tram was also very close by. There were many restaurants, shops, coffee shops and a few food stores near by. The unit itself was perfect for a family of 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There was also a nice assortment of goodies in the fridge to get us started, which was greatly appreciated. Communication with owner was excellent. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Stay in Prague

The apartment is spacious and beautiful. I felt like I had stepped back in time when buildings were built by artisans. The ceilings were spectacular. Thank you so much for the homemade apple strudel, it was enjoyed by all of us at breakfast. The owners left us some drinks, local breads and such to start our visit on the right foot. The apartment is kept warm and toasty on these cold winter days; just what you need when you visit the sites all day. Love the fireplace! Thank you!! I will stay here again when we come to Prague.

AMAZING

Mark's flat was the most beautiful place I've ever stayed in my entire life. Our group of four was beyond thrilled with it, and it was even more beautiful than in pictures. It was an easy walk to so many popular spots in Prague, and the other areas were easily accessible by the very close tram stop. Four adults stayed in the apartment and we had more than enough room, and could have easily fit more people. It was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed for our stay. Mark and Klara were excellent hosts and provided wonderful information before and after our arrival. I cannot recommend staying here enough! Thank you for making our trip to Prague so fantastic, Mark!

Amazing property in perfect location

Honestly I almost want to leave a bad review just so I can be sure to get this apartment again sometime. It’s a beautiful Art Nouveau-style apartment. The owners have clearly put a lot of work into making it modern and comfortable while maintaining the beautiful period features. The beds were a little hard, but we quickly got used to it. Mark was incredibly responsive and very helpful, especially when we missed our first flight and arrived 5 hours later than expected. Great location with two good restaurants right next door. We will absolutely hope to stay here again the next time we are in Prague!

We cannot praise this property enough. Central to everything but located in a quiet street with restaurants and cafes within walking distance. We were lucky to experience two beautiful snowy days spent wandering to come back to an apartment that was cosy and warm and comfortable. Mark was in contact everyday to answer any questions and the thoughtfulness of stocking the kitchen with some items made for an easy breakfast on our first morning. This property far exceeded our expectations and during our five week journey through Europe has certainly been the highlight. I would confidently recommend this property and will definitely be back.

Mark arranged VIP transport from train station and to the airport. Contact by phone. Met us at the apartment, showed us everything. Provided a few days of essentials like bread, pastries, cheese, orange juice, coffee, beer and wine at no additional charge which was unexpected and a very nice personnal touch. Two BR and 2 bathroom with nice kitchen and living room with working fireplace, and small courtyard balcony , all in the authentic old European style was perfect for 2 couples. Location on a safe, quiet street but central and easy walking distance to the sights and restaurants.

Delightful Stay in Prague

Honestly, I cannot say enough positive things about this flat in the heart of Prague. First of all, it's gorgeous - exactly as pictured - and more beautiful in person. It's within an easy walking distance to so many sites, restaurants and shopping in the city, yet is located on a quiet street providing a perfect place to come "home" to recharge after the day's adventure. The flat had all the comforts to make our stay perfect. The heated tile floors in the bathrooms were luxurious and the beds comfortable. Mark was easy to communicate with, arranged transportation to and from the airport, and even provided some essential provisions in the kitchen upon our arrival - such a nice gesture and appreciated after a long journey to reach Prague. Check-in /check-out processes were simple. If we find ourselves in Prague again, we would stay here again in a heartbeat!
