"It is set out as a Luxury apartment but can't really qualify as such. It is nice, but quite noisy as it is right next to a restaurant with live music. Also quite smelly from all the restaurants' grey water just flowing into the lake outside the windows. The bathroom is also very damp with mold on the walls. Everything else was good though, and the hosts were very responsive."

"We loved Casa Verapaz. The caretaker Alfonso was great and communication with Julio was excellent. The views from the living area are truly breathtaking and accommodations are wonderful. Santa Catarina Palopó is a short walk down the hill and is a great little village. Our boys played soccer with the locals there and we bought fresh tortillas for breakfast. "We arrived at night and instantly fell in love with the property. Just as we thought it couldn’t get any better, we woke up to the most stunning views. The property is gorgeous and was spotless!!! Our trip would not have been as spectacular if it weren’t for the host, Julio, and the groundskeeper, Alfonso. "Awesome private home hidden right in the middle of Panajachel. We loved the spacious interior and the fact that everything was so peaceful in the evenings yet within walking distance to everything. "

"This is as good as it’s going to get in chimaltenango. Chimal is chaotic, crowded, noisy and ugly, but if you need to stay there, this place is great! There is a washer, dryer and laundry soap! The shower and kitchen are huge! Wifi works, decent space, pretty flowers, nice personal touches. Bed was hard. A critter crawled in the cieling : I could see it white little underbelly and long fleshy tail. We could hear the critters on the roof at night. Dogs barking and people setting off fireworks....
