Highly recommended….It has all kitchen amenities. Also, it has Bathroom Shower, toilet, and Wi-Fi. Welcome Holiday Homes location is near Skogafoss waterfalls and 45minutes to Dyrhólaey beach, Reynisfjara beach, Vik Red church and Yoda’s Cave.

We booked this day of because high winds made setting up our tent challenging and we were so grateful we did! Comfy space, warm shower, great little kitchen and sitting area and comfy beds. Kept us warm and safe during an orange weather warning with snow and high winds.

Cozy stay! Great location. I went just outside our door in the middle of the night and saw more stars than I’ve seen in my entire life. I also saw the Milky Way! Quick check-in with responsive owner.

This was such a cute shed turned into a hotel room. Lots of space, bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice and big. It said that the property didn’t have reception but we had full coverage. Highly recommended

Located in a beautiful, quiet area. Near to two gorgeous must visit waterfalls. The units are clean and well maintained. Only downside is the difficulty in contacting the owners when checking in. Took about 15 minutes before we were able to get the check in code.

Quiet and clean staff nice small kitchen well stocked with pretty much anything you would need. Check in was easy. Beautiful scenery. We weren't able to enjoy the geothermal pool based on mixed reviews on line. It was nice having our own space. It seems to be well maintained. Staff provided fresh towels and cleaned up a bit, we only stayed 2 nights and really didn't expect that. Would definitely stay again.

This is a very nice property from room and amenities point of view. Nice views of mountains. Did not get good any communication about room and the pin to check in. Had trouble calling the management. Apart from the check in issue all other things are fine.

Best place to stay south in Iceland!

Great cabin with the absolute best location if visiting south/southeast of Iceland! The cabins are located approx 20 min west of Vik and the magical puffin cliffs. Recieved an email with code for retrieving the door key one day in advance. They don’t tell you how well equipped the cabin is. I dragged with me hair dryer and other things that are available in the cabin! Fully equipped kitchen and clean bathroom. Great view around the cabin and closest alternative to the Seljavallalaug hot springs! Some restaurants in the area, but no groceries. Make you stack up on all necessary food items before you go. Downside: the road sign indicating your turn is heavily over grown and only visible coming from the west. Missed the turn two times, so keep your eyes well open and speed slow when you get close.

The cottage itself was perfect! Clean and quiet. Contacting the owners to get into the cottage is another story. The will not email you the check in information 24hrs in advance, as stated. And do not expect a response until after 1600h on the day of check in. There is minimal/no wifi and also no cell service so you have to sit outside the hotel area and wait for a response as to which cottage you're staying in and what the code is. Wifi in the cottages is spotty at best, and didn't work at all for a good portion of our stay.

First of all, I had read the reviews about getting a hold of the owner to get your pin code and room and anticipated some difficulty doing the same. They had two numbers listed on the wall outside. I couldn't find a free phone to use, but I was able to message the 2nd number on Whatsapp and get an immediate response (I tried to call the number a few times and didn't get an answer so messaging them was the way to go). The little cabin is beautiful and has a lot of nice features but the bedroom is really small. We saw the northern lights outside however it would be awesome if the owner would consider turning off the very bright outside lighting on two of the structures. It made it extremely difficult to take photos without the lighting interfering. On another note folks were coming in and out of the property at all hours of the night. So be mindful of this as well especially if you are sleeping with the windows open. We did find something in the floor of the bedroom, like a residue from something. So it could be just a bit cleaner but perhaps this was just a missed spot when last cleaned because otherwise the cabin was clean.
