Tijuana Centro is full of surprises, but don't limit yourself to only one place. Rent some wheels and hit the open road to see what's in the surrounding area. We've pulled together these great options:

• Head to Ensenada for a fun-filled sightseeing experience. Around 55 miles from Tijuana Centro, it has numerous amazing sights such as First Street.
• Your next pit stop? It has to be Mexicali, which is around 95 miles away. Plaza La Gran Via is one local draw card you really shouldn't miss.
• Malecón San Felipe is located 170 miles from Tijuana Centro and is one of the region's most scenic nature spots. Go for a wander around and enjoy the fresh air here.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Mexico, then you may need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. Also consider that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of ID as well.
