Car Rental Hamao

Once you've been to all of the great places in Hamao, there's a lot more to see in the surrounding area. Collect the keys to a rental car, pack your bags in the trunk and hit the open road. Here are some drives we think you'll love:

• You'll find Glover Garden and many other interesting attractions in Nagasaki. From Hamao, it's approximately 70 miles away.
• About 70 miles away, Hofu is also a favorite with travelers. Make sure you take in Mori Museum and Garden while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love coming to this thriving city.
• Venture into nature and take in the serenity at Shukkeien. You'll find it about 130 miles from Hamao.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Japan, then you may need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. Please also consider that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before getting behind the wheel. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or off road with your rental car.
