Once you've checked out all of the fabulous sights in Xingfu, there's loads more to explore in the region. Grab the keys to a rental car, throw your luggage in the trunk and hit the open road. Here are some road trips we're confident you'll love:

• Make your way to Hsinchu for an excellent sightseeing experience. Roughly 40 miles from Xingfu, it's home to loads of cool sights, including Hsinchu City God Temple.
• Roughly 70 miles away, Taichung is also a hit with wanderers. Allow time to get to Taichung Park while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love this thriving city.
• Get into the great outdoors and inhale the fresh air at Kenting National Park. It's approximately 220 miles from Xingfu.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Taiwan, then you may need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car.
