Car Rental La Palma

Once you've been to all of the great sights in La Palma, there's a lot more to see in the surrounding area. Grab the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and get out there. We've come up with some road trips we're confident you'll love:

• You'll discover Palmeral of Elche and loads of other interesting attractions in Elche. From La Palma, it's approximately 40 miles away.
• Situated 50 miles away, Alicante is also popular with travelers. Be sure to take in Castle of Santa Barbara while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love this vibrant city.
• Get out into nature and take in the serenity at Las Salinas Beach. It's 150 miles from La Palma.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Spain, then you may need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also be aware that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some other requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or older in most places to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the fine print before you drive off the lot. With rental cars, you usually can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with your rental car.
