Car Rental Las Palmas

There's lots on offer in Las Palmas, but head farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Rent a set of wheels and you can meander around the surrounding region at your own pace. Add these fantastic drives to your travel schedule:

• You'll discover Tela Beach and loads more amazing sights in Tela. From Las Palmas, it's roughly 75 miles away.
• Next stop? It has to be Puerto Cortés, which is around 100 miles away. Puerto Cortés Central Park is one local highlight you won't want to miss.
• Parque Nacional La Tigra is approximately 150 miles from Las Palmas and is one of the region's most gorgeous nature spots. Go for a wander around and enjoy the fresh air.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Honduras, then you may need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. A few other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in most places to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the fine print before driving away. With rental cars, you usually can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or go off-roading with a rental vehicle.
