Ocean Beach offers adventures galore, but don't restrict yourself to just the one place. Grab a set of wheels and take to the road to see what else awaits in the surrounding area. These are some great options:

• Dunedin is roughly 120 miles from Ocean Beach. Renowned sights like Larnach Castle deserve to be high on your list while you're in town.
• Around 110 miles away, Hindon is also popular with wanderers. Make sure you experience Taieri Gorge while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love coming to this buzzing city.
• Visit Milford Sound to rediscover nature. Take a picnic to enjoy or just chill out in the fresh air. From Ocean Beach, it's around 140 miles away.
