Car Rental Sun Valley

Once you've ticked off the amazing places in Sun Valley, there's heaps more to explore in the surrounding region. Collect the keys to a rental car, toss your luggage in the trunk and take to the open road. We've come up with some drives we think you'll enjoy:

• You'll find Nissan Navara Arena and countless other interesting attractions in Rockhampton. From Sun Valley, it's roughly 60 miles away.
• Your next pit stop? Bundaberg, which is around 95 miles away. Bundaberg Rum Distillery is one local hot spot you really shouldn't miss.
• Carnarvon National Park is located 220 miles from Sun Valley and is one of the region's most gorgeous nature spots. Go for a walk around and enjoy the fresh air.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Australia, then it's likely you'll need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. A few other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be at least 25 in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before driving away. Usually, you can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with a rental vehicle.
