Lovely Traditional Hotel in Røros

I love this hotel situated conveniently on the Main Street of Røros. Their restaurant serves excellent, fresh traditional Norwegian cuisine. The rooms are comfortable and make you feel like you have been transported back to the 1800s, but with modern conveniences.

Røros Vertshuset

We stayed in an old outbuilding that had been converted into two apartments. Roomy and comfortable with a lot of the old charm intact. Very affordable also!
Loved the original flooring and ceiling beams.

Fantastic location in the town and a lovely decorated room in keeping with its history. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had a few issues. The bed was not good resulting in significant rolling towards the middle. The shower head kept falling and would not stay in place. Great that we had a kettle and coffee/sugar but no milk and no spoons to stir. Breakfast had a limited selection compared to other hotels in Norway and the hot selection was cold by 9am, the same selection was still on offer an hour later. All in all a poor experience

Hverken resepsjonspersonalet eller servitørene snakket norsk. Betjeningen i restauranten virket urutinert. Vi ba om å få kjøttet lite stekt (rare), men servitøren insisterte på medium rare, noe som blir feil når det dreier seg om indrefilet av rein. Maten (som smakte utmerket) ble servert før bestikket var lagt på bordet, og vannet ble servert like før vi var ferdige med å spise. Rommet var komfortabelt, med to gode lenestoler, men sengen var for myk for oss.

Likte hotellet og oppholdet på Vertshuset Røros veldig bra. Stort og luftig rom med gode senger. Vi hadde rom på « Uldvarefabrikken» Vi ble godt mottatt, og fikk innsjekking 3 timer før. Spiste middag på vertshuset, og fikk verdens beste is

Bon séjour

Séjour agréable dans cet appartement pour 6 personnes (nous étions 3). Manque un peu de vaisselle, cela allait à 3 mais nous aurions été 6 non. 4 assiettes creuses et 1 plate cela suffisait à peine à nos habitudes de français mais cela correspondait à la table de repas (pour 4). Petit déjeuner buffet copieux et avec queques produits locaux. Une lunch box à 150 NOK que l'on rempli soi-même avec les éléments du petit-déjeuner.

Perfekt beliggenhet i sentrum av Røros. Ok senger, men luktet mugg/fukt på badet. Noe enkel frokost. Brødet var tørt og speileggen kunne vert fra dagen før. Plommen var som plastikk.

Var flott at de har hunde rom så mine kunne være med. Men manglet noe syns jeg som søppelkasse ute til og kaste poser etter hundene gjorde fra seg , var en litt bred sprekk mellom dør og karm inn på rommet så det trakk kaldt langs gulvet , trakk også kaldt fra et vindu som gjorde at jeg måtte skru opp varmeovnen . Frokosten var veldig god , koselig sted , fint å se på utvendig og utrolig sentralt med gang avstand til butikker , spisesteder, museum osv.

Veldig bra.

Kjempefint hotell midt i sentrum. Veldig stort å fint rom. Behjelpelig personal enten behovet var parkering eller ekstra håndduker. Komfortable senger. Helt grei frokost. Vi hadde et kjempefint opphold, kommer gjerne tilbake.
