“Second time we have stayed here.
Ate in the evening and had breakfast. The staff were very good and friendly and the food was excellent.
We actually stayed in the same room on both occasions, was like going down memory lane.
Would definitely stay again, if in the area. ”
“Absolutely outstanding place to stay, asked us what we wanted for breakfast and a fantastic bacon and egg sandwich was waiting in the warmer in the morning amongst a lot of other breakfast cereal too,you can even feed the cows in the field opposite 10/10”
“Lovely accommodation. Helpful when I rang up re entry ( I’m deaf) .
Ideal spot for visiting hebden bridge as arrived by train and used bus to meet family members .
Breakfast staff attentive and dealt with an issue immediately . Highly recommend ”
“My friend and I stayed here this weekend due to attending a festival nearby. The stable rooms are absolutely lovely, so comfortable, beautiful bathroom and lovely bed! We even had horses in stables next to us which was a lovely view to wake up too. The self serve breakfast room was so cute and had everything you could really ask for including fresh fruit, milk, breads and pastries. Will be returning with my partner for sure!”
“This B&B is exceptional, full of character, spacious, clean, welcoming, run fantastically well by a lovely family - I highly recommend. The full English breakfast was exceptional and served by the granddaughter so lovingly and efficiently. Will be staying again every time in the Stockport area from now on. I want to live there permanently now !!!! ”
“The monastery has beautiful gardens to explore in any weather. The accommodation itself is spartan and authentic to the purpose, but is still good material value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for the gardens alone, but the unique experience is also an attraction.”
“Plenty of safe parking next to the property. A grand building in a very pleasant setting on three bus routes with views across to Kinder Scout. A warm welcome, a lovely comfy room, generous tea/coffee/chokky in the room, a splendid shower and the breakfast options .... first class.”
“The property is on the banks of a stream with the constant sound of a waterfall which gives it a certain ambience. Rooms very clean and staff very friendly end helpful. Evening meal and breakfast both excellent. Convenient bus service to and from Huddersfield stopping right outside.”
“Patrick and his wife were very welcoming, the property is dated but comfortable and clean and very reasonably priced. The surrounding area is a short walk away, with some nice pubs, restaurants (with gluten free options), shops and a Tesco etc... The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been some comfy chairs or small sofa in the room as I personally struggle watching TV in bed, due to health issues, but other than that it was a pleasant stay.”
“What a great place. This place is clean, well-equipped and decorated very nicely. The breakfast provided is above the standard, and the service from the owner couple is warm. I will definitely stay here again. This B&B is highly recommended.”
"A 1970s office block converted into a hotel. Rooms are huge by UK standard, both the room and equipment are very clean. Staff is friendly and experienced. The main complaint would be the WiFi - averaging 100-500kb/s, which is slow even by 2010 standards. Certainly need a replacement.
Elevators only stop on even floors, so you would need to walk 1/2 floor up or down to the 1F reception or room (uneven floor for me). Elevator is very fast and there are 3 of them, so no issues at all. The nearby Eccles Shopping Centre is being redeveloped, so it can get quiet at night. Large supermarket just opposite to the hotel. The Eccles town centre and train/tram station in around 5 minutes."
"This is my second stay at the same location, despite with a different brand. The location is very near the city centre, which gives you easy access to different spots around. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The room is spacious. It has been a comfortable stay."
