"Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving."

"Well equipped trailer with a beautiful view. We did on the whole enjoy staying at the property. It is quite a remote property which was a little nerve wracking at first as our signal was limited but the setting is worth it. Only about 20 mins to St Peters. Our main feedback was just around the compost toilet, whilst eco efficient, it does have a smell and this smell progressively got worse with more use. We did flag this with the owner who was quick to respond and suggested using the fan. We...

"What a great place to just disconnect and relax. Felt like we step back in time with all the amenities. Place is off the beaten track so if you are looking for major tourists attractions you'll need to drive 2h. House is great, super clean with everything you need to cook and relax. Amazing views from the deck and a little beach across the street. We enjoyed the local beaches and even surf at Michaud point. The neighbors are super nice and friendly.We could see ourself spending more time there in the future. Host was really helpful. "
