"The hotel is not right on the beach, but a 2 minute walk. I arrived at 830 at night, the staff were amazing, there was an issue with the AC and they immediately upgraded me. My Spanish is very limited and their English was very limited, but google translator helped us both. There is a very laid back vibe about the hotel, which is exactly what I was looking for. The food was great, the hotel was clean and they were constantly working on it. This is not a 5 star resort, so if that is what you are looking for, you will be disappointed. The road leading to the hotel was not in great shape and the surrounding villas and homes were very modest, there is a small store a couple hundred feet from the entrance that has everything you may want. I went for beach walks at night and a run every morning and never once felt unsafe. People made an effort to say hi, always smiling and welcoming. The ladies at the bar were always friendly and helpful, they made efforts to chat even with the language barrier. I would definitely stay here again when I return to El Salvador, but again I must say that it depends on your expectations. It was everything I was looking for and feel it was a great value for what I paid. "
