“We had a fantastic time at Aethos Saragano. We stayed for a week in one of the village rooms. The room was clean and comfortable and well kitted out. The restaurant, Ceci, is fantastic - we ate there four nights, and could have happily had done more. The view from the restaurant and terrace is amazing - rolling Umbrian countryside as far as the eye can see. There are lots of fun things to do in the area - wine tasting, village breaks, trips to the lake - though you will need a car. The hotel……

“As others have said, even more lovely than photos. We were 8 couples aged 23-77 for a week with room for more. A real advantage is the en suite bathroom situation, albeit some bathrooms and showers roomier than others. Highlight is outdoor dining patio where we took all meals given the mild September weather. Chef cooked two yummy dinners for us. Also glad we ordered villa owner’s olive oil and red wine. Short drive to major Umbrian sights. However, we recommend you go for lunch in nearby……

“We had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful cottage. It is part of an ancient castello, as a separate little house (the old mill) and with all modern amenities, lovingly restored. The views from the beautiful garden are absolutely stunning, and we much enjoyed our breakfasts in the sunshine outside. “El hotel es sencillo con un hermoso jardín, las habitaciones pequeñas, no hay nadie que te reciba después de las nueve de la noche, ni nadie que te pueda ayudar después de esa hora, el hotel se queda solo y te dan una clave ara entrar. Si no consigues un lugar cerca de la puerta tienes que dejar el coche en un estacionamiento un poco lejano y pagarlo.”

“Logement très atypique spacieux et confortable. La fraîcheur induite des vieux murs en pierre a été un vrai plus vu la température extérieure. Top le tri des poubelles dans la cuisine. Peu de lumière naturelle vu la taille des fenêtre de l’époque mais on ne peut pas tout avoir. Giana est très accueillante et au petit soin pour le petit déjeuner au top !”

“Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war nett und unkompliziert. Allerdings wurde vergessen uns vor Anreise mitzuteilen, dass ein Bad der Villa gar nicht benutzt werden kann! Zudem war das Haus bei unserer Anreise nicht geputzt. Was unser Urlaubserlebnis in Summe doch sehr getrübt hat. Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen und nicht nur die Betten haben die besten Jahre hinter sich. Wir waren zu dritt, haben uns aber gefragt, wie man als Gruppe von 8 Personen die Mahlzeiten gemeinsam einnehmen……

“The host was super friendly and literally went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay. We wanted to do the Aqueduct walk, which he helped to plan and implement, but we only wanted to do it one way. He met us in Stresa and drove us to Collepino so we could walk back to the car, playing tour guide along the way. He made a dinner reservation for us the first night at a great restaurant. The host Nadia couldn’t have been more considerate and accommodating (even bringing me the most beautiful bunch of flowers for my birthday), and the house is absolutely extraordinary. Everything is done to an exceptional standard, and nothing is overlooked. “Bellissima location nel punto panoramico di Spello. Accoglienza perfetta, ci ha ache aiutato a fare le manovre per parcheggiare. Letto comodo ed essendo inverno ci ha assegnato una camera calda e confortevole. Spero di trovare posto qui, la prossima volta che visiterò Spello.”

“This was a beautiful piece of property to stay at in the city of Assisi. It was in a location that was very easy to access all the major Catholic holy sites. We took the city bus line up from the train station and were within a manageable walking distance from the bus stop. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafes near by. A major plus was having the police station just down the block, so we felt extremely safe walking around at night.”
