“The cabin is quaint and cozy with beautiful updates. We had everything we needed! Staff on the grounds are very friendly and everything on the property (grill, fire pit, horseshoes, separate game room) all within just a few steps from the cabin. Good size for family of 4 but won’t fit more. A lot of steps inside the cabin so may not be good with small children but was great for our older kids. It a mini fridge so don’t buy a lot of groceries ”

“The cabin was clean, well stocked, and well thought out. We didn’t realize dishes, coffee, towels, extra blankets, and even a selection of dvds would be provided. We even brought our own charcoal because we didn’t know the grill was a propane grill. We were pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was clean and very close to the cabin. We enjoyed the trail down to the River and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. We loved that we could bring our dogs. We would definitely stay here again!”

“This cozy cabin was perfect for our needs! My husband, our 14 yr old son and myself were in Cookson for the Bassmaster Jr/ HS tournament. The location was perfect! We were close to the tournament ramp at Chicken Creek and used the Cookson Bend ramp for practice days. It was super convenient! The cabin was a peaceful place for the boys to relax after being on the water all day and a great place for me to enjoy some peace & quiet while they were gone! Ha! The property was super clean upon arrival……

“We needed a home base for all our friends to meet us at to do a raft float on the Illinois River that saturday. This place was PERFECT! It was huge, comfy, beautiful, and the host was SO nice! We hope to stay again next year!”

“We had a very nice stay in the Yurt. Everything inside was perfect. It would have been really perfect outside too, but the outdoor string lights were broken. The Fire Pit was perfect, though. It was definitely a hike to and from the parking lot. But the weather was so nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. ”

“Would love to spend an entire week out there by myself. My oldest daughter was in town for the weekend and needed a place to stay. We decided to rent a cabin and spend some one on one time together..Unfortunately we were only there in the evenings and didn't really get to spend time exploring the area. The cabin was nice and clean. I will be making plans to stay again. ”
