"Donna and Mike were such good hosts. They've compiled a binder with just about everything you need to know about the island, the area, restaurants, etc. The cottage feels like home, and it's proximity to the York River provided lovely views, as well as a wide array of birds, from eagles to osprey to herons and more. The cottage was so comfortable that we didn't even mind being rained in for a day. "

Seems they are just getting established as the liquor license was issued the day of our departure and in house dining was not yet available. Breakfast was top shelf. It is a bit remote and off property activities require a long drive."

"This was the 4th time we have rented this house. The house, location and surroundings are as beautiful this time as the 3 previous times we have stayed. There are Eagles and dolphins every day. We fished and caught a skate, a little shark, a couple of small fish and several pesky Blue Crabs. The location is remote but not far from shopping and activities. The neighbors are great and it is very peaceful. The house is completely equipped for all your needs. Spent a great deal of our time sitting on the screened in back porch. We love this place. Plan to book again next year."

"Bee Haven is a charming cottage tucked away in the most quiet neighborhood in Gloucester. I really enjoyed having my coffee out on the front porch in the morning. The area is lovely to drive around in. There is a grove of pine trees in the back that sound amazing when the wind is blowing."
