"Nice and clean, well decorated but small. Very noisy road, and very hot throughout our stay. As the inside temperature never dropped below 24 degrees (19th to 24th June), we tried to leave bedroom windows open at night, but only did so for an hour on the first night, as there is so much traffic for most of the night, roaring up and down, so not had a lot of sleep. Took coffee bags with us as no coffee maker, as per previous reviews. Power shower was pretty weak but sufficed. Very small...

"Room was very tired and old and windows were cracked. I had to be moved as my two windows did not shut. New room was larger however the bathroom smelled like a sewer and it was also old and tired with rotting window frames. Bedding and curtains covered in stains. "We stayed here 4 years ago and still love it. The reception staff were great, we asked for a room with a bath and were accommodated. The room was large & well equipped, bed was huge and comfortable. The towels have improved greatly since our last visit, large & soft. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and although the menu is small the food was hot and tasty. Maisey was a great host. One of the greatest assets of this hotel is its location right next to Sheringham Park, access is easy and we spent a lovely hour walking one of the paths. The grounds in general are lovely. Breakfast has improved since our last visit too. Great continental buffet, the fruit salad was one of the best I’ve had. The cooked breakfast was hot & delicious. Again service by Maisey was great. We will gladly return!"

"We had a lovely weekend stay here. Parking was a slight worry but there were one or two spaces on the street each time we needed to move the car. The property was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The TV had an Amazon Fire stick in it (for iPlayer etc) which was a bonus as it wasn't in the listing. The garden gate was tricky to unlock but when we pulled it closed it worked better. On a quiet street but only a few minutes' walk to the beach and the centre of town -- we recommend Marmalade's Bistro which was exceptional."

"Got to the hotel and and asked if we could have food, the guy who checked us in , said I’ll show you to your room and then I’ll find out , he never came back to us, so ended up having a bag of crisps The other staff was very polite and very helpful Went to bed and the room was nice , but after falling a sleep I woke up around 3am feeling very cold as the heating had been turned off Breakfast wasn’t very nice , bacon was very fatty and the sausage didn’t taste that great, mushrooms was very bland "

"Thank you for the opportunity to stay at Manderley and for inviting areview of the accommodation. We were very pleased with the location(right on the seafront with a wonderful view) and with thespaciousness of the accommodation. The kitchen was well-equipped forpreparing meals and we certainly took advantage of it, eating in mostdays. The beds were comfortable and the sun room was an added bonus.There was one aspect that we felt could be considerably improved andthat was the cleanliness. The house really would benefit from a thoroughcleaning especially the bathrooms. There were cobwebs on the windows -inside and out; grime around the taps and drains in the bathrooms and the shower curtain looked grubby.Corners of some rooms were not cleaned (for some time). We tried to usethe hoover under the stairs but it does not have much power so used thebroom instead. Some of the walls and ceilings have pealing paint-perhaps from the moisture - and are in need of some attention. Thebalcony was rather dirty and in need of a good clean which made it an unappealing place to sit. For the price of the accommodation we would have expected aconsiderably higher standard of cleanliness. Other than this we enjoyedour stay very much.Following feedback directly to the owner we have been assured that the cleaning arrangements have been improved."
