It's rooms are quite small, the amenities are sparse, and the walls are paper-thin. If it's comfort that you seek, this is not the hotel for you. Think more of a vintage hostel. When you leave for the day, to possibly explore your surroundings, you must turn in your room key at the front desk and be let back in, only after you've rang the doorbell....

"The hotel was good overall. We were able to walk to Plaza Bolívar, Monserrate, Chorro de Quevedo, and several other attractions. While the hotel could use a bit of TLC, it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was tasty and very convenient, making it easy to start our day. We arrived on a Saturday, and on Sunday the Mercado de las Pulgas (a kind of flea market) takes place on the same street. It made walking around a bit tricky, but it wasn’t a major issue. "
