"It's not for everyone, but I *loved* this place. It is an oasis of old funk and Polish culture, and it charmed my socks off. Maybe I'm easily impressed (American), but I was delighted. Quiet, clean, good service, wood beams, and the cream of Polish military history glowering from the walls, protecting you as you sleep.
Ten stars."
"The apartment is located in a wonderfully quiet area, making for a very peaceful stay. The apartment itself was clean and the kitchenware was very clean too.
However, there were several topics that future guests should be aware of. The water coming from the taps had a strong, unpleasant odor and a dirty appearance, requiring us to buy our own water for cooking and even brushing our teeth. This was a significant inconvenience.
While the apartment was clean, the bed linen was full of dog hair, which was quite disappointing. The apartment also felt a bit dark, and the lack of mosquito nets on the windows was a major problem, as there were a lot of mosquitoes. I highly recommend bringing a fly swatter.
The provided starter kit was very basic, with just two dishwasher tabs and two waste bags. There was no laundry detergent, which is something to be aware of if you plan on doing laundry. The kitchen is also not very well-equipped for cooking as it lacked a kitchen towel, a sieve for pasta, and a vegetable peeler.
Also, the swimming pool was closed.
Overall, if you are looking for a quiet, bare-bones place to stay and are prepared to bring your own supplies and deal with the water situation, this apartment could work for you. It's important to set your expectations low regarding the amenities and be prepared to buy your own water. The big plus is the price and it's quiet location. "
