The photos on the Expedia are cherrypicked and quite deceptive. From the exterior, the building looks way worse than the photos reveal. Inside, the finishings and decor are quite dated, though the hallways to access the rooms and the rooms themselves are surprisingly clean. The entrances and stairwells aren't the cleanest. The building is old and settling. Hallway floorboards creak and lean this way and that. When you look up at the top of stairways, you can see the next level leaning this way or that. For now it's a decent, and cheaper place to stay, but without major renovation and repairs, it will get shutdown for safety reasons.

The only problem I encountered was that because I booked third party, they weren't flexible with my request to allow my cousin to check in on my behalf becauseI was running late and she needed to get dressed before the wedding. I had to stop, respond to the email request before she was allowed in the room. She drove over 3 hrs. and I drove over 5 hrs. and had lost 1 hrs. because I was coming from TN.

Overall the stay was great for the price

Enjoyed our trip, this is our 4th time and we always live it. One of my favorite places to be. The amenities fees are separate now and must be purchased at Rumbling Bald Resort for each person for each day of your stay if you choose to use them.
