Large Secluded Cabin on the Lake - Now booking 2+ night stays

This beautiful log cabin sits beside East Pond in Smithfield Maine. With direct access to the lake, you can hit the lake first thing in the morning and play all day. Or, stick closer to home and drop a line off the dock for some good old-fashioned fishing. Swimming, boating, fishing, or relaxing in the sun, however you like to relax, we have it here at Fish Upon A Star Cabins.

The Central Maine area also offers so many opportunities for indoor and outdoor fun. The cabin is centrally located to Augusta, Waterville, Skowhegan and Belgrade Lakes so you can discover all our area has to offer!

This two floor cabin boasts 4 cozy but spacious bedrooms, a large kitchen, spacious sitting room and dining room with seating for 10. The wrap around screened-in porch includes two seating areas for chatting the evening away and a dining table for meals or for family game nights.

In the warmer months, you will find a gas grill and a charcoal grill, two outdoor seating areas and a dining table. The lake side seating area circles a firepit, looking out over the private dock and swimming area. Kayaks, a canoe and pfd's are available for you to get out onto beautiful East Pond for a day of sightseeing and sunshine. Pontoon Boat and jet ski rentals are also available for longer excursions.

In colder weather (weather permitting), direct lake access offers opportunities for ice fishing, snowmobiling, and nordic skiing. Bring your own equipment or rent from a local outdoor goods shop. Spend the day playing in the snow and curl up at night by the cozy gas fireplace. There's something for every season here on the lake. :)

Beautiful Cabin in a beautiful setting!

We celebrated our granddaughter's 1st birthday at the cabin. The cabin is beautiful, tastefully decorated and was thoughtfully stocked for our stay. We enjoyed time at the lake, even a little canoeing and smores! We would definitely come back.

Peaceful Retreat

A beautiful cabin that was very well appointed. My family of nine had plenty of space and everything we needed for a fabulous vacation at the lake. Our young grandkids enjoyed the indoor and outdoor toys and the adults enjoyed using the canoe and kayaks. Communication with the host was great. I would love to visit again one day.

Wonderful vacation!

This property is beautiful! Hosts are wonderful and have great communication prior and throughout visit as needed. The house was well stocked and very clean upon arrival. We loved relaxing nights by the fire pit and sunny days playing in the lake. The screened porch was such a plus when we had a rainy day. Bedrooms are roomy and allow everyone to have private space. Absolutely loved our week here and would love to come back!

Great host. The photos don't do this property justice. Beautifully decorated and amazing views from every room of the house. The host lives next door and is very accommodating to all your needs, and answers any questions promptly. Would love to stay in the summer, wish they allowed dogs. Overall a 10/10.

This cabin was just like the pictures and more. The inside was so comfortable and even though the weekend was a little chilly, the wood burning stove warmed up the whole house. Best of all was the kitchen just beautiful. Everything you could need except food was there. Area by the pond was gorgeous, we had an opportunity to make s’mores. I would highly recommend this place.

Fantastic Home for Colby College or Family Events

Book this house, you will not regret it! We rented this for our youngest daughter's Colby graduation. Amy is very responsive and so easy to deal with. While the pictures of the home look great on line, they do not do it justice. First of, it was spotless when we checked in. It is spacious and well laid out. The kitchen was equipped with anything you could need or want. There is a charming path down to the beach area where Amy had laid up wood for us in the firepit and there are lots of chairs to relax and listen to the loons calling. The screen porch would be ideal for families with kids to play after dark or in case of inclement weather. We didn't get to spend much time in the house as there were lots of grad activities, but the house is well stocked with books a, games and DVDs .We have had 2 kids go through Colby and have rented many houses over the years and hands down this was the best one! We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Beautiful property- privately nestled in the woods but with private access to the lake. House is well-equipped with all kitchen needs easily met. Amy is super easy to work with, and kind and considerate also. Highly recommend!

We had a fabulous week on the lake. The house was beautiful and included everything we needed. The lake was perfect for us all…ages 6-78! Lots of swimming, kayaking and just enjoying the view. We have already reserved our week for next year.

Great House

We went for a fall golf trip and needed a place close by to the golf course. This house was awesome and was perfect for our group. We golfed all day at nearby Belgrade Lakes (my favorite course ever) and then we went back to the house and fished off the dock, built a fire and had a great time. There were 8 of us in the group and we were very comfortable. The house was very clean and very enjoyable and had everything we needed. 10/10 weekend.

Girls Golf CMp

We are our annual trip in this was the nicest place we’ve stayed in, everything was top-of-the-line quality. How the pictures on her online are very accurate. Many times we’ve been surprised that nothing looks like the pictures. Had a couple questions for her, and she replied immediately. Would recommend this four bedroom house any group.
