"Privacy, comfortable, and quiet are some descriptions of the property. Hot tub was operational and ready but unfortunately we did not get to use it. Washed some bedding and everything worked well. Rooms were clean. Fire pit was stocked with wood. Coffee pot, Keurig, dishwasher, additional refrigerator and freezer on site. "

"Well stocked kitchen, lots of room, very clean, incredible views and very quiet. Great dark sky views. Great for paddling, swimming and relaxing."

"My husband and I had the most amazing week here! Went fishing every day. Caught loads of fish around the lake. Even caught several off the dock, including a keeper walleye, perch, bass and northern! Sat and watched the northern lights from the dock one night. Grilled some steaks, went kayaking, saw lots of eagles and loons. Had a few campfires and enjoyed a cozy night by the fireplace. Jeff was great at accomodating anything we needed. He was quick to respond to emails. He was very respectful of our privacy. Enjoyed visits from Honzo the dog- very well behaved! We will definitely stay here again!!!!"

"Went on guys' golf trip. 4 of us. This place was great. The location is right between 2 golf courses. Beautiful villa. Great to have complimentary pancakes, coffee, etc... Can't say enough good things about Walden Haus."

"Very nice cabin. Clean and well kept. Having the John boat and canoe were a nice bonus seeing we were on an island. Lol. Host was very responsive and Rob was too. While we were there it got cold, so we needed to use the gas burner cast iron heating unit. Couldn’t get it lit and they were very helpful on that. Reading the instructions became helpful. Another knee slapper. Push in the knob while igniting with the pilot button. The instructions were on the floor attached to the legs. Hard to read, so maybe put those instructions in the great information binder that was there. Unfortunately for us, the four days we were there it got cold, windy, and rainy. Just kept coming at us. Late in the season I guess. We thought to use the john-boat with trawling motor and regular motor to fish and go into Ely, but with water and rain, we hunkered down. Great overall experience. "
