It’s a 3 bedroom with 2 bathroom home in Waverly TN that sleeps up to 8.
The property slopes down to the water leading you to a private dock with kayaks, and paddle boards, which also has a private shared boat ramp.
The Dogwood house is furnished with all the amenities: full kitchen with all cookware and utensils, gas grill and propane, washer and dryer, fresh towels and linens, board games, corn hole, wifi, smart TV, and Netflix, bluetooth speakers. We also provide toilet paper, paper towels, dish & washing detergent & laundry detergent.
The nearest marina is Leatherwood a 20 minute boat ride to Paris Landing. The house is located an hour from Clarksville, and less than two hours to Nashville TN.
The Downs House is created for you to leave the fast paced life style behind, relax and truly unplug.

Peaceful.
A lovely stay despite the rain and wind. Be sure to have provisions when you arrive. Not far to store, but time to get there is 30 mins. We watched the eagles. Took the kayaks for a spin on the last day (the weather thankfully cleared up for us). Denise was great at answering questions quickly and was very accommodating to our needs. Would recommend!

Love love loved our stay at the lakehouse. The views was absolutely gorgeous. Fully equipped kitchen pots pans etc even though I brought what we would need to use to cook with. Would definitely recommend booking!

Great stay on Kentucky Lake
The cabin was lovely - very clean with a gorgeous view. Perfect for bird watchers - we saw hundreds of fresh water pelicans, 5 or 6 blue herons, several bald eagles, and a few osprey. The location is quite far away from civilization, but the internet was quite strong. Thank you again for sharing your home!

Lake House Relaxation
Felt more like a friend loaned us the lake house for the weekend. It was neat and clean, but not like corporate sterile. We'd love to go back and take the kids and grandkids during the summer. Be prepared to drive back into some windy roads and a steep driveway, not just a hop off the interstate, and easier to navigate the first time especially if it's during the day. It's a really nice drive when you can see, LOL.

Beautiful Lake view
If you are looking for a beautiful setting with a lake view and privacy this property would be an excellent choice. We enjoyed our stay and spent most all our time boating. Every amenity that is needed is provided including any extras like paddle boards and kayaks. The property owner made every effort to clearly communicate and answer questions as well as making sure we had a comfortable stay.

Just what we hoped for!
We absolutely loved our vacation. The home was very clean and had everything we could ask for. We played games, watched movies, and enjoyed the amazing view from the hot tub. Our kids had so much fun on the lake, and it felt like it was our own private lake! There was a very bad storm during our stay and Denise texted to check on us the next morning. She was attentive and fast to respond to our texts. Our family had a wonderful stay!

Family vacation
It was wonderful as our first full family vacation with the grandkids. There was not a lot for the two little ones to do without a boat and not much to do within a few minutes drive, but they made it work. It was just missing a beach, but if you have a boat it is perfect private cove!! The power went out for a few hours due to a hit power line. Denise stayed in touch with us until it was back on - very supportive. Thank you for helping us create fun memories!

Great communication and awesome view
Denise was wonderful from the beginning! Contacted me directly prior to our trip to make sure we had all of our questions answered as well as supplying information as to where to shop for our groceries and places to eat! If you are looking for a remote location with views of the lake this is the place. We spent lots of time enjoying the hot tub while viewing the lake. There were lots of geese to watch and many many turtles. I spent a lot of time kayaking with the kayaks that were provided. The lake is not very busy so makes for easy kayaking. The property does not have direct access to the lake and does require a short walk to the dock. It does involve some steep inclines so be prepared for that. There is a cart supplied for all of your supplies but I just used a cooler backpack and carried my life jacket. I was happy my cooler was lighter for the climb up the boat launch and the driveway coming back! It is a bit of a workout but not a deal breaker at all. Just be prepared. Maybe not ideal for anyone that has difficulty with walking or strenuous activity. I would need to take a breather after walking up. The property is very well equipped with everything you need. There are lots of games to play when you aren’t out enjoying the lake. The deck was great for relaxing and eating our meals. My husband really enjoyed how comfortable the couches were. I was very pleased with our entire stay and I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a remote and low key getaway!
