The rooms need some updated decor and someone to automatically bring milk and coffee refills etc rather than having to ask for it - we are the guests after all. No room service during our 2 night stay which I would also expect for the price. The dining room staff could be more attentive for evening service, and perhaps give more recommendations and advice on the a la carte menu and what to choose. Additionally, someone to greet you at the door of the restaurant rather than leaving you standing around not being sure to just take a seat yourself or not. The whole place has an odd atmosphere to it, and staff are possibly too discreet. Breakfasts were really nice though and it’s a nice little castle / village for a short wander. I’d spend close to 2k elsewhere in future though, and somewhere that has additional facilities - gym, pool etc.
