"Woodapple is super clean, professionally run and a great hotel to just escape the hustle of Kathmandu.
The staff were amazing and were extremely helpful and supportive to any of our needs.
The rooftop restaurant has a great outlook over the city."

"My week stay at this hotel was pleasant. The location is excellent, in the heart of Thamel.
The suite I stayed in was comfortable.
I have only two small criticisms:
The hot water had a very strong and unpleasant smell.
Loud music from the next bar into the morning hours."

"We had an amazing stay. The staff was very helpful and gracious and accommodating with our adjusting travel plans as we waited for good weather to get into the mountains. "

"Stayed at Aarya from 10/11/2025 - 10/19/2025. A unique visit in the heart of Thamel. The rooms were clean and cozy. The staff was more than accommodating and always with a smile. The variety of foods offered for breakfast was an experience in itself. We were able to walk from the hotel to many popular sites and the location was convenient for tour pickups. We visited during Diwali and the Aarya presented a show of native dances and music. Also, if anyone is debating visiting Nepal after the recent protests, I personally felt safer on the streets of Nepal than the United States."
"Staff so helpful and friendly....we stayed for over a week due to things beyond our control and Mr Tulsi and all his staff really looked after us. The hotel is tucked away up a deadend but within easy reach of al tha Thamel has yo offer!"
"Great stay with really friendly staff. Very centrally located for anything in Thamel. Only feedback for Gaas Baas is to lower the hallway music during the night. The songs are on a short loop so hearing Lady Marmelade on repeat was a little much. "
"Definitely go for the club rooms on the 7 th floor views over the Capitol are breathtaking.
Use of lounge tea ,coffee or soda 12 till 6 pm
6till 8 pm complimentary wine ,Beer , and the basic spirits. With snacks make this a very good experience at good value.
Beds comfortable, showers hot,and right in the action of Thamel."
