"Dodo Square Residence is in a great location right on Grand Bay. There is no parking at the residence but it was easy to park just down the street in front of the temple. It was easy to walk anywhere in Grand Bay from the residence including the pick up spots for ocean activities and many good restaurants nearby. The laundry facilities on site were very welcome as well. The apartment was clean and spacious and very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. "

"It’s difficult to write a review for someone’s home after a stay as it could be seen that the writer of the review is a just a chronic complainer. But there were so many findings that truly gave me, and my entire family, the heebie jeebies: One mattress smelled of urine so badly that my daughter felt she had no choice other than to spray it with perfume to hide the smell, the floors which felt so old and dirty that we couldn’t bear to walk barefoot, the coffee maker had not been cleaned and was thick with residue from many previous uses without proper and thorough cleaning, there were dead flies on my other daughter’s bed, of which she decided she couldn’t sleep upon, the sheets were cheap and pilly, the coffee mugs were stained and dirty, the bathroom and upstairs had lingering smells of cigarettes which were hard to bear. Everything was tidy, but felt dirty in part because of the age of the house and the items to fill the home were of low quality (the sheets, towels, curtains, dishes) .The best part was the amazing view and the lovely green Adirondack chairs which added to the enjoyment of the quiet. The ease of getting to Eastport was nice as well. "

"The noise! If you like blasting music; screaming, undisciplined children; and ignorant families who yell at each other from all over the property, then, between the direct neighbours partying all day (10:00 am to midnight) for three days straight and the ignorant guests yelling at each other from all over the property, as if it's their private estate, Villa Narmada is the place for you! You'll also be content if you feel "security" means a wide open front lobby door at 1:30 am and the "guard" (the elderly grandfather of the owning family) fast asleep on the sofa, such that I just walked in and past him without waking him at all. (I mean, Mauritius is a very safe country. But, still, other places have gates and alert attendants.) The safe in my room was also an ancient relic, the instructions for which were impossible to understand. At least the closet had a lock and key. Otherwise, sure, the furniture is second-hand, but, the cleaning staff do a dilligent job, everything worked, the pool was well maintained, and management was friendly."
