"A beautiful getaway with gorgeous views in such a tranquil yet convenient location. Perfect for larger families/small groups. While as agroup we stayed in winter we also thought it would be the perfect for summer as well! "

"Was a nice and quiet place to stay, surrounded by bush. Close to the beach and different nature walks (although we didn't explore fully by foot, I'm sure there would be a short cut down to the water). About a 3 minute drive from supermarket, petrol station and shops at Snug. Beds were comfortable and warm (winter stay) and heaters were provided in each bedroom to make the inside cosy as well. Split system was good for the main living area."

"We had a great time with family. Plenty of walks up the beach and over the headland. Fish a plenty off the beach and out to Betsy Island. Spacious house. Very clean and tidy. Enjoyed 8-ball and the record player. Comfortable! Great kitchen and dining area. Loved the fire. Lots of room for all 10. We wish we had of booked for a few weeks!Oh, and the winter solstice swin right on sunup was amazing. We are now making it a yearly thing... and no, we were not nude! "

We only stayed for the night but it was like home away from home-- would highly recommend if you're looking for a personal, comfortable, and cozy stay just outside of Hobart. 10/10, hope to come back here one day!"

"This house is situated in a new housing estate only 5 minutes drive from grocery shops and 10 minute drive from the picturesque and popular Kingston Beach. Public buses are a 10 minute walk away to take you directly into Hobart. Great new walking and bike tracks to the shops 4 km in one direction.This neat comfortable no fuss home is ideal for a family with children in mind. It is relatively new with 2 bathrooms. One item needed attention was the mulch around the trampoline, the exposed plastic underneath is slippery when wet. This is only a concern if little children or adults caring for them are using that area. The decking and rest of the grassed areas great to enjoy the view of Mt Wellington while relaxing. The home supplies rubber scuffs in the front hallway great idea as although in built up area there are many wallaby dropping on the footpaths, you might see them at night.The host Bryan was informative, quick to respond to any query and happy to consider any suggestions. I was visiting family living in the area so for me this was a home away from home without being a chore to maintain neat and clean yet extremely comfortable. Definitely booking again,"

"The property was fine. As mentioned in the ad there’s no living area so the ad is very effective. We did have some issues with the bed. And it is a little difficult to find late at night. I think the directions for the actual entrance to the property area could be better.. Good communication with landlord And Repairs managed effectively as needed"

"We have stayed in this property before and love its proximity to the beach and family. It is roomy and comfortable. It appears the property has experienced some wear-and-tear since our previous stay (e.g. the carpets could benefit from a steam-clean and the bathroom sink didn’t have a strainer, so I was in constant fear of losing my earrings!), but is otherwise fantastic."

"I loved staying at this charming cottage, an easy walk to the beach, cafes, a Japanese fabric shop. The kitchen was pretty well-kitted out which is great because my grown-up children and I all like to cook.Would thoroughly recommend it; and the hosts couldn't have been more friendly. "Spent 10 days at 16 Blue and loved every minute of it. Cute, compact little cottage, very private with a beautiful garden. 10 out of 10 for our hosts, Judith and Chris, in providing the personal touches that make a property special. It was a lovely haven to return home to after a day of exploring. Blackmans Bay Beach is beautiful, as is the next bay across, Boronia Beach, both within easy walking distance. Would throughly recommend."
