If you like being close to everything, you'll love this centrally located Tahoe Donner cabin. During the summer, you can ride your mountain bike out through the backyard and catch the trail where you can ride for miles! This home is perfect for a few families or a group of close friends to enjoy. You'll love the layout which includes 3 Bedrooms and 2 Full Bathrooms, a nicely appointed kitchen with stainless appliances, two living room areas (one upstairs, one downstairs), a large covered deck area off the main living room / kitchen looking out towards the private forested backyard. The home was recently remodeled and is ready for your enjoyment!

Enjoy all that Tahoe Donner & Truckee have to offer! This is truly an amazing vacation spot for sports enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike. For those unfamiliar with Tahoe Donner, it is a wonderful, mountainous year-round resort community in Truckee, California.

No events or parties. This is not a party house and is best suitable for those looking to enjoy a peaceful time in the mountains.

No commercial photography and / or filming allowed.
There is parking for 2 vehicles on the garage and 2 - 3 vehicles in the driveway. Vehicles can not be parked on the street at any time due to Tahoe Donner Association rules.
Summer access to Tahoe Donner Association is governed by the Tahoe Donner Board. It is generally a very family / guest friendly environment; however please note that some guest restrictions, fees and / or capacity limitations may apply during busier summer days. Guest Access Cards will be located inside the property and must be returned upon departure. Any unreturned cards will result in a $100 replacement fee per card.
No outdoor fires or charcoal bbq’s allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).
Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.
Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked) whenever not present in the home.
The region is accustomed to dealing with snow, and the road is plowed on a regular basis. That said, it can be slippery and the schedule for clearing the road and / or driveway is not under our control. Carry chains, water, a snow shovel and monitor road conditions for your trip.
The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 6 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).
You’ll be able to enter the home through the attached garage, however note that during winter storms, berms may accumulate in front of the garage and will need to be shoveled in order to be access. Depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), the berms may need to be shoveled. There are shovels located inside the garage that you are welcome to use, but we also recommend traveling with a shovel during winter travel.
WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.
ALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, there’s always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.
