We were a bit worried about this hotel with no restaurant or pool.
But we found the room had a great view of the harbor, walking distance to so meaning great restaurants and pubs.

Staff was very friendly and courteous, one of our rooms was beautiful. The second room (basement suite style) was okay. The toilet didn’t flush every other attempt, and next to the toilet was a large hole in the wall, with peeling flooring and an overall questionable looking bathtub. There were also a lot of spiders! Large ones in nearly every corner of the room, one even crawled on my leg as I sat on the couch! Other than that, interesting property with private and unique rooms.

We ate every meal during our stay at the Empress. There is no better and the top highlight is; all 5 of us had the Halibut our last night. That never happens & I may never order Halibut again anywhere else. 😆
The staff at the Empress are the very best any where in the world and I mean every single one of them.

The place is beautiful and the room is spacious. We had breakfast at the hotel although it was not part of our booking. The bathroom was a bit small but nice. Overall the hotel is great. Would stay and would recommend it to all.
