Two bedrooms including two queen-size beds

This 100-year-old traditional Japanese house, located near the city center of Wakayama, was renovated in 2024. Upon entering, guests are greeted by impressive pillars made of large, old-growth trees. While preserving its traditional elements, the property features a stylish dining area and furniture made from local Kishu wood, including a solid wood table and bed. The owner is also a restaurant chef, offering various food-related experiences as optional extras. As is typical of traditional Japanese houses, it can be cold in winter, but is designed for comfortable summer living. Heating and air conditioning are available in the bedrooms and dining area. Accommodation: The main bedroom has two queen-size beds, and the secondary bedroom has five sets of futons. For infants, please use the futons, which are low to the ground. There is a separate toilet for the bedrooms. There are two living rooms with reclining sofas and cushions, offering views of the garden. The dining room is approximately 20 tatami mats in size, with a kitchen, projector, and dining table, providing ample space for larger groups. Guest access: The property is approximately 150 tsubo (495 square meters). Guests may freely use the main house and courtyard. Other things to note: This is a private rental, so you can enjoy your own space. If you would like to interact with the host, please contact us in advance.
