"My wife, Cindy, & I spent a week celebrating our anniversary at this Beach house. You couldn't get any closer to the water than we did. There were beautiful views with ceiling-to-floor windows. The check-in was easy & the kitchen was fully stocked. They even left us a nice bottle of wine to enjoy. They were very accommodating, as I am in a wheelchair almost 24/7. They built a little ramp for me to access the house with no problem, and the doorways were wide enough to roam the house with no difficulty. We will definitely be coming back soon. Larry"

"This property is absolutely amazing. The view of Lake Cushman, the quiet, the lake access. All of it is top tier. When we travel, we pick the place based on the view and access to the water, not too much on the amenities (except when we travel to warmer climates we always make sure there is AC). That being said, this property has literally anything you need. We took advantage of the toaster oven, gas oven & range, the blackstone grill, washer/dryer, literally all of it. The showers were great as well. The communication from Kim, the property manager, was amazing as well. Prior to our check in, she let us know of a minor issue that came up from the previous renters, which was appreciated. We had myself, my wife and 5 of our 6 kids stay and the property and it handled our family with ease. The kayaks were a big hit with the kids too!Should we come back to this part of the country, we will absolutely stay at the Samara Lake House again! Highly recommend!"

"We had a really wonderful stay at this cabin! It was spacious, cozy, and had more than enough room for our group of 7 to spread out and enjoy a relaxing getaway. The setting was beautiful and peaceful, and the home was well-equipped with everything we needed.Communication with both the owner and property manager was smooth and responsive, which we really appreciated, especially when we had to make the unexpected decision to leave a couple of days early due to heavy smoke from nearby fires. They were kind and understanding, and we were grateful to receive a refund for the last two nights.A couple of small things to note: we did find a few dirty dishes that hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the hot tub could have used a bit more attention. These were minor issues in an otherwise lovely stay, and didn’t overshadow the great time we had.Thank you for sharing your space with us. We’d definitely love to return in the future!"

"This stay was beyond our expectations. The location is in town within walking distance to shops and restaurants. It is also close to all the activities of the Olympic National Park. The house is newly remodeled and is in impeccable condition. There was everything we needed for a wonderful short stay including lawn chairs and kayaks. We would love to come back again next year. "My family was very happy with our stay at the Elk House. I understand why this location has such high reviews. The home was spotlessly clean, comfortable, attractive, and was in a quiet, relaxing location. I wish that we had seen elk during our stay, but it was still nice to sit on the front porch to enjoy the view. (Be forewarned that the large field surrounding has many slugs lying in the damp grass in the early morning.)There is a master bedroom on the main floor that has a queen bed. There is an open loft upstairs that had a queen bed and a twin day bed. The day bed also had a hideaway bed underneath that could be pulled out for a second twin bed. I had brought pots and pans for cooking which was unnecessary as the kitchen was very well supplied with anything we would need to fix and serve meals. We would love to return to stay at the Elk House again. Thanks! "

"Perfect for our family get-away. The proximity and access to private parks made the days fun. For dinner, we used their outdoor grill and Blackstone griddle instead of the kitchen stove and loved it. We all fit around the large table for the meals. And there was an area to play card and board games, which were provided.Thank you"

"This property has amazing views and is beautiful inside. I love the covered porch as well and that’s what sold me on this house incase it rained. It has direct access to the lake and seating which was amazing. The outside does need some major clean up. When you first drive up to the house it’s kind of shocking on how much up keep hasn’t been done. Weeds need to be pulled, the roof is really bad with moss and pine needles. I did report that the blind in the downstairs bedroom with the view won’t open either. "

"The cabin was clean and well equipped. It was just right for the 2 of us. The view is amazing and this place is so so quiet. We were cozy inside during the rain and enjoyed a great hike nearby. The locals are friendly and helpful. We will recommend this cabin to our friends and probably be back next year."
