Maishima Sports Island Pet-friendly Vacations

Decent hotel in a rather central location. I only stayed 1 night prior to flying out of airport approx 50 minute drive away.

The shower was so bizarre. Out in the open with no privacy other than shaded glass. But getting into the shower was zero privacy. Weird. We decided not to stay another night because of the shower. But other than that very clean and very nice staff.

Great location and easy walk to shops and Nishiki market. The room definitely was style above function as to we had to remove a couple of the art pieces to be able to access areas of the room ( these were of course replaced on vacating). Staff were definitely less friendly than other hotels we had stayed in but they were helpful when needed. The bathroom and showers facilities were excellent. Would I stay here again- I’m afraid not.

Like: Area was very convenient fo transportation, shopping, and dining. Dislike: Hotel is outdated especially carpet and furniture’s. Staff was not attentive and very aloof (especially the non-Japanese service agent. Made me feel like I don’t belong…

Enjoy the very nice view, the room was small, but pleasant. The price was much higher than I was expecting

Great hotel right on City walk, loved that we could walk to Universal. Variety of food on City Walk. Clean hotel staff friendly

It was good for visiting the Dotonbori area. The hotel is interesting and clean. I would recommend.

The staff was welcoming and kind. There are bikes that can be used stationed outside the hotel, making it convenient to get around Kyoto. Major attractions are within a 10 minute driving distance. There is also a bus stop near the hotel. This hotel is conveniently located for getting around the city.

This property was a convenient walk to Kyoto Station, but the area around the property didn't offer much--very few restaurants, cafes, bars, no parks. Not charming at all, same with the unit. The price we paid was way too high for the quality of the property and the area. But we booked late and it was a busy time, so I was not shocked that the price was jacked up.

Elisa and others at reception were fantastic helping with luggage transfer. Nice property and walkable to transit. Quieter neighborhood. Thanks Mimaru!
