At night we saw the northern lights beautifully and strong, a few times. No restaurant in the hotel, but plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Grocery store / small mall also just a 10 minute walk. Located in on a small island and just 2 hours drive from Reine and Å (the last of the lofoten island) we originally came for 1 days but stayed an extra night with no problems and they gave us a laate check out at 2pm with no additional charge. The staff were very welcoming, and after a delayed flight arriving in the evening it was great to walk in and find an evening buffet available! Breakfast also had a wide range of options and was the perfect way to start the day. The location in Svolvaer is very convenient for everything and being on its own little island is obviously pretty scenic. Loved the view from the restaurant at breakfast time. The only disappointing thing was, no nice cheese board.
