Middle East Beach Vacations

Good location but hotel inside feel very old and no renovation

This hotel is probably one of the cleanest well maintained and presented hotels I’ve ever stayed. The staff are amazing and so helpful, nothing is too much trouble… I never give full stars, the hotel has to earn them to my high standards… I would definitely stay here again and the best room is 101… and I’d definitely recommend it to everyone wanting to stay in Muscat… thank you Grand Hyatt Hotel..

The room was excellent, really large with a big bathroom and all well equipped, it was nice to have balcony looking over the marina. House keeping we’re brilliant however they did like to get in and sort rooms early, this wasn’t a problem for us. Lifts took a awhile to the main reception and my original impression was not enough for the size of building and demand but we realised after a day that there were extra lifts hidden away from the main reception which never got busy. The hotel is a lot quieter than it’s attached sister hotel the Hilton Jumeirah Beach whose facilities you can use. We enjoyed the beach and pool at the HJB, this was really busy at times but we always found a couple of sun loungers. The pool at the Hilton The Walk was a lot quieter and the staff were great. If you are looking for a hotel bar or restaurant you need to use the HJB hotel as facilities at the HTW were limited with some closed, this however was not a problem and you could easily transfer via a walkway between the two. Both hotels were well sited for everything along Jumeirah beach, couldn’t have been better. The stay was a good compromise, the quieter HTW to stay in and the livelier HJB for entertainment.

Beautiful hotel, great hospitality and great service

Expected better from a 5 star hotel. It’s lovely but it is the bare minimum. Biggest perk is hotel pool so you can have a cold pool without paying for a beach club but I’ve stayed in better hotels in Dubai for less where they make a fuss of you and can’t do enough. Lift broke down one day, no assistance or notification to residents. Had to walk down and up 18 flights of stairs constantly. No offer of anything for the inconvenience or apology. Staff are very nice but can tell they want to do more than management will allow. Breakfast very nice
