Handa Island Cheap Vacations

Clean room. Lobby area and bar are nice but the room was extremely basic. Staff on front desk unhelpful and off hand. Would not recommend.

Bit disappointing that we only learned that there was no food available until we arrived on Sunday evening. Other than that, everything was great. Thought we could have been notified in advance.

The hotel was very family friendly. Excellent soft play, pool and outdoor playground. The dinner and restaurant were excellent as well. Special thanks to Charles and Augustine at the dining room and breakfast. Augustine went above and beyond to accommodate us. Breakfast itself could have been better. It was lacking options and the vegetarian sausages ran out a few days.

Flight cancelled but wouldn’t refund stay cost or offer alternative date

Off-street parking was welcome in Inverness. Comfy room, window opened only a little so I was too hot. Good blackout shutters, though. Nice bathroom, fluffy towels. Straight-line and level walk to the high street, where there are tons of restaurants and a Co-Op (grocery). Around 1/3 of a mile, I think, took about 10-15 min.

Lovely hotel. We stayed in the new side of the property. Overall everyone was lovely , my only knock on the staff was they didn’t inform us that check in was in the other building. We were waiting for our room to be ready in the main building

We didn’t like the stairs No lift☹️ Good breakfast. Near all the shops.

Staff were friendly and gave us a good larger than expected room on arrival which was good. The hotwl is positioned in a very peaceful area. We had a room on the ground floor at the back so there was no road noise but lots of noise late at night when other guests were arriving to their rooms. Walls/floors are thin! The water coming out of the taps and toilet was yellow..not sure why. Bottles of yellow tap water were being served to customers. The menu was not to our taste far too much spicy food. I had to send the corn on the cob back as it was covered in spice. We were then brought a new plain one and were not charged which was good. Can't comment on the cooked breakfast as we only had fruit/continental options.

Messaging from Hotels.com was inconsistent. In some cases I could not open the message. The 2 step process for getting 2 codes was cumbersome. The hot water was only tepid at best. It was nice to be so close to a cafe both for dinner and breakfast. Parking was fine.
