"Great stay at this independent and welcoming hotel. The room we had (No 4) was large and spacious set inside a nice courtyard. We really liked the pool and breakfast. Dinner was available and food was to a high standard (though bit expensive). Lawn and garden was well maintained, but this does mean there a few bugs that try to get into the rooms. "Overall, we had an OK stay, but there are several areas where the hotel could improve.
The reception staff were efficient but not particularly welcoming. In contrast, the valet staff were outstanding. One gentleman in particular was always smiling, friendly, and went out of his way to help guests, making a real difference to our stay.
