Great location, minutes walk distance to UVA and several restaurants. Very nice hotel owner and her dog. Cozy room and comfortable king bed. Excellent homemade breakfast. We’ll come back! Strong recommend to others.

Five stars! With a property circa 1830 (so much charm), I didn’t expect such a quiet luxe experience—great bed, pillows, and linens, soft robes, perfect in-room coffee service, convenient for plugging in all your modern technology, well thought-out lighting, very tasteful decor (in keeping with the history of the place, but elegant, well thought-out, and uncluttered) and super clean. Totally charming and comfortable. The breakfast was terrific and inviting — and the touches of elegance and design extended to the serveware and freshly cut and arranged wildflowers on the tables. Finally, the staff was beyond reproach. So welcoming, friendly, and at the ready to help with anything. I was so pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We stayed in the Monticello room which was on the small side but perfectly serviceable. We stayed at the Inn because we were visiting Pippin Winery (for a second time) for lunch—which is a must if you’re in the area. The food is inventive and delicious, the setting is picture perfect, the service is friendly and approachable, and the wines blew me away—IMHO better by a country mile than what was on offer at Barboursville, Chiswell Farms, or Afton vineyards. Highly recommend!

The gentleman at the front desk who helped me out, (C Note) you know who you are, was fantastic! All the young men who worked the front bell stand are absolutely fantastic as well! Everybody there was just absolutely fantastic and phenomenal!
