This hotel is an oasis of calm and tranquillity. Rooms are bright and in good condition. The bed was comfortable and it was a pleasure to wake up to warm sunlight from the Juliet balcony. The location is great, with easy walking access to several restaurants in town. The staff are a credit to their organisation and helped with advice when asked. The provided information about driving tours of the area, all of which proved fascinating. We particulary recommend visiting Monsanto, Coimbra, Tomar and the Schist Villages.

This hotel is a proper find! A lovely, peaceful oasis, filled with a myriad of beautiful plants and trees.
Everywhere you look are interesting objects and bric a brac, all collected by the owner.
The breakfast was excellent - a good variety of offerings and scrambled eggs on request.
We were made to feel very welcome by the owner, even though we turned up late.
N.B. The only negative - no fault of the hotel - the address given on the Expedia site is wrong! It takes you to a private house about 12Km away!!

"Stop at this review and look elsewhere. Very confusing check in, thats if you can find the reception area. The bungalows are very outdated and worn out. A lot of mildew inside. Terrible sewage smell."
