It was run down and confusing. The night staff was unhelpful and was hanging out with a friend and appeared to be annoyed with our presence.

Loved the smell inside the hotel and the awesome coffee in the rooms.

When we arrived late afternoon there was a note attached to the front door directing us to our room and that they were busy with another client, but did supply a number to call. Our room door was wide open with the keys laying on a table. We did try to call to ask about the wifi and breakfast. We received a text, 3 hours later, with the wifi info and that we were not getting breakfast or coffee as it was not included. I understand about breakfast, but no coffee? There was no TV's anywhere and I do not remember seeing that on the site, but I may have overlooked. The house itself was nice, historical, but we were not overwhelmed by it, nor the lack of attention to customers by the owners. Very overpriced for what you get.

It was a decent hotel, but a couple things came up that made me not want to return. The room smelt musty and there was a huge cockroach in the bathroom, and we even found a baby cockroach as well. Unfortunately it was found the morning we were checking out, otherwise we would have requested a different room. Other than that, the staff was great and the breakfast had a good selection.
