It doesnt get any better than this hotel. Absolutely beautiful. The staff was superb. Breakfast was fabulous. The room was magnificent. The view of lake Maggiorrre is so beautiful and peaceful. The landscaping is wonderfully designed and kept to perfection.

Fabulous 10 day stay at this hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and always readily available to help you if required. Breakfast and pool facilities were excellent, and it is well situated for the short walk into Bardolino. The housekeeping staff did a great job - our room was always spotlessly clean. The hotel also arranged taxi transport (at a reasonable cost) to and from Verona airport. If we return to Bardolino we would certainly stay here again.

Room was clean and staff were lovely. One of the biggest disappointments was the shuttle service into town. when I booked the hotel, (which was quite a walk from town) I thought it would be fine, because of the shuttle, but it turns out that it only runs a few times a day and the evening when you want to go into town for dinner, the last shuttle comes back so early that it isn’t viable to use the shuttle. We were also absolutely furious that the main reason for booking this hotel were the pools and area surrounding them. Unfortunately it turned out that all the sun loungers had towels on them with nobody sitting on them ! We had nowhere to sit by the pools even though I counted up over 50 sun loungers empty just on one side of the pool. Probably the same in the other side ! The staff never took the towels off or did anything about it. I find it completely ignorant of people to come down to the pool early, claim the best loungers and then going off to breakfast or wherever they go knowing someone who wants to sunbathe can’t because there’s nowhere to sit. It’s a culture that I don’t understand but since the hotel doesn’t enforce any rules for this I will not be returning.

The stay was perfect. The hotel is established and you feel the history and class when you are walking in. The hotel staff is always available from unpacking your car and delivery your luggage on arrival to picking your luggage and packing your car back during departure. The service is incredible. Albergo Sala was a unique experience in the small village of Valbrona. It was quiet and not much to do but that's what we were looking for. The staff were excellent and very helpful and the food was wonderful. The inn is historic and has been in the family for a few hundred years! As it is off the beaten track it is advisable to have a car as public transport is infrequent and challenging and taxi service is quite expensive. Aside from that it was a great place to stay a few days.
