Really enjoyed the refreshments offered upon arrival, the pool and spa, and terrace bar for an apertivo. We mentioned it was my son’s birthday, and the housekeeping staff left candies and a birthday balloon in our room—so sweet! Great breakfast buffet and decent dinner in the hotel restaurant. "Good value for money and friendly host. I would give it 3.5 stars. The property has a lovely garden and view of the lake but best suits someone with a car as there is a limited bus timetable to and from Varenna and is not suitable for walking. We travelled in October so perhaps there may be better transport options in the summer months. The room had everything we needed but could do with some updating."

"The communication from Massimo before arrival was excellent! We loved the location of the apartment, 5 minute walk from the station and with an incredible view overlooking the lake! The bed was our main disappointment as wasn’t particularly comfortable!"

"The property in Bellano is well appointed and perfect for two or three looking to spend some down time on the lake ~ You will need your own beach towels and chairs, should you decide to enter the water on the property's back side as they are not provided. The town has intricately lined streets with charming stores and an array of wonderful restaurants on the waterfront. Take the ferry to Bellagio and skip Lake Como proper. You'll enjoy it just as much and in half the time!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Casa Azalea! The check in process was easy, there is a walk down to the property like other reviews have mentioned, so be aware! Great communication, great suggestions for food or things to do in the area too. The property is beautiful, spacious, and clean! It has a beautiful view of the lake that we loved! We would definitely stay again at Casa Azalea."
